Today I was stupid enough to lock my dogs in the car on Epsom Downs. I put both dogs in the boot of the car and I put the keys down in the boot to give them a drink then I shut the boot and went round to the drivers door and the car locked. I had left the keys in the boot. I don’t know if one of the dogs trod on the key or what happened. Of course I panicked straight away as there were no windows open and it’s a hot day. We were actually coming home early from a dog walk because it was hotter than I thought it was. I called a couple of friends to see if they could get the spare key from my house, I didn’t get any replies and I didn’t wanna wait too long so I dialled 999 I was so conscious that I was doing the wrong thing I didn’t want to waste their time But I do know that dogs can die in a car with no windows open on a hot day in 15 minutes. They turned up in about six minutes and reassured me straight away. They were about to break into the car when the boot opened as my husband who was in London had downloaded the car app and managed to open it. Such a relief. Dog were fine but drank loads water supplied by the wonderful firefighters. I cannot thank them enough for their speedy arrival and help What lovely wonderful people they are. The world is definitely a better place with people like you guys in it. For me and my dogs, thank you so so much xxx

I was unfortunately in the position of having to call the fire service due to a small electrical fire. Pumps came from Epsom & Esher stations. The fire service were here in 5 mins flat. I would like to pay tribute to the professionalism of the firefighters. They were all very polite and helpful reassuring us in what was a very frightening & stressful situation. Thank you.

I would just like to say a very big thank you to the fireman who came out to rescue my puppy this morning. (He had his foot trapped in the cage) Thank you very much Linda.
