Allright what gives about 2 years ago i had to replace my starter and flywheel it is an automatic transmission.It developed a grinding issue and over time wrecked both parts. well the time came to replace the starter again and now im getting a grinding noise after the truck starts like the starter ...So I replaced the starter and decided to disassemble the old starter to attempt to figure out why it grinds in clod temperatures. In short, I think it's pretty clear that it's the solenoid. Closer look at the gears inside. Normal wear and tear, teeth are still good (on all gears).
