Interesting museum detailing the history of the police force. From it's inception to the addition of of the WPC, mounted police, riots, and police dogs .. alot of information in small displays. Situated inside Lancaster castle, it is free to gain entry to.

For free, this is an absolute hidden gem of a museum. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, plus there is a lot to see, do and experience. Not many of these kinds of places about, so make sure you get yourself there to experience it. We plan on returning later in the year, hopefully.

Great place to take the kids in the school holidays. Open Thursdays and Fridays. The kids loved seeing the old prison cells and did a little quiz to help them learn more about police history. Very welcoming and interesting

Fantastic museum 😁 so ooo interesting! Really enjoyed! So much to look at and experience! Great for kids too ! good interactive things for them and a quiz to complete! And it's free! But only open on Thursday and Friday 😔
