By the time I had contacted Nelson Guest & Partners, my Court case issues had proceeded apace. Kenya Freitas acted quickly and decisively to unravel the various strands. This involved clarifying complicated events that had occured over about 2 years. Kenya liaised with the Police, Magistrates Court, the Nelson Guest & Partners legal defence agent in Medway, and was successful in obtaining Legal Aid for me. She carried out research, analysed the options available, and advised me on all the steps I needed to take. Kenya was instrumental in getting a fair outcome for me. The work carried out by the Nelson Guest & Partners legal defence agent, Wayne Crowhurst, on the actual trial day was also very impressive. My levels of anxiety and stress were very high during the almost 2 years series of events, but, from March 2025, when Kenya became involved I improved psychologically when I realised all the correct actions were being put into place. I am very grateful to Kenya for all the professional support and guidance that she provided.

For the first time in my life I found myself having to find a criminal solicitor to defend me. The judicial process for some traffic offences appears to be a revenue generating exercise by the police. Having experienced this on two occasion, one, I tried to defend without professional representation, it felt like the judges were biased towards the CPS and I was unsuccessful in my defence, however on the second occasion, we engaged Ross and Joana, Nelson Guest Solicitors, wow and thank you, although it didn't take away the worry my wife was experiencing, your expertise, calmness and reassurance eased her worries, and the joy and relief once the case was dismissed was truly welcome. Joana, I couldn’t thank you enough for everything you done for my case. From the moment of being arrested by the time I arrived at custody you was already there waiting. You stuck by me every step of the way and took every detail down, you kept me updated on every update while on bail and reassured me every step of the way and I couldn’t be more thankful for that because again you understood my anxiety and did everything to help in anyway possible. Because of you fighting my corner for my innocence the way you did, the case was dropped and no further action was taken. You didn’t only take away the hardest time of my life but the hardest time of my life mentally too, I had never been in the mind frame I was during that time but you made it so much easier to cope and having a new born I was so scared I would lose the most important time with my son growing up but because of you I am so thankful I was able to come home on bail to my boy and partner & then the cloud above my head disappeared when you called me full of joy yourself telling me the amazing news that the case had been discontinued, You was as happy as me. 🥲 I will be forever thankful for your work you did and I will always recommend you to anyone ever needing help. Started off with a personal video conference… I already was amused with this personal touch.. Complicated subject Nelson guest and partners did not fail to impress Jo accompanied me throughout and was my point of contact… ending the story Ross went to the court hearing and crushed the subject.
