I just dissconect the cable from the speedo and use pouder grafite. put a small amount of pouder grafite in the cable end then pour a little rubbing alcahol in the cable end. The rubbing alcahol makes the grafite run through the cable like water. You can lube the whole cable in seconds that way.While I've heard many suppliers recommend Lithium grease on cables, I always used a liquid graphite lubricant, like Lock-Ease. The liquid carrier evaporates, and the graphite alone does not attract dirt that could make the cable-core seize or bind.
