you know that local government have a reputation for being crap, well its well deserved. Today I went to Trafford Council to try and get a copy of my marriage certificate and you can pay by card for the quick service bit if you want the standard service you have to do it online or if you pay in the council office there are only 2 payment options in 2025 - cheque or postal order, Yes, thats right! So they take a card payment for the quick turnaround but otherwise its a cheque. Why not stop this and sack the person whose job it is to take cheques to the bank and save some money, absolute clowns

Another overcrowded British car park, metal chaos with no parking spaces left. This country’s decline is stark—once a beacon of order, now a mess of congestion and decay.

I keep paying my council tax only to live in a dirty dump with overflowing bins and dirty roads. They should take fly-tipping more seriously and try to identify the culprits

Impossible to get hold of. I've called 10 times about my council tax. In every single time it says every advisor is busy and hangs up

Unprofessional Conduct and Lack of Assistance from Local Council Housing Officers. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent interactions I have had with our local council housing officers. As a resident who sought assistance, I expected professional and respectful treatment, but my experience was quite the opposite Unprofessional Behavior and Breach of Privacy Firstly, it is disheartening to report that the housing officers made inappropriate comments regarding my private life. Such behavior is entirely unprofessional and a clear violation of confidentiality. Residents seek help with the expectation that their personal circumstances will be handled with discretion and respect, not discussed or judged by those in positions of authority. Lack of Assistance and Neglect of Duty Moreover, the assistance I received was severely lacking. Despite presenting a legitimate need for housing support, the officers were unresponsive and seemed indifferent to my situation. It appeared as though they were not fully committed to fulfilling their responsibilities. This neglect not only exacerbates the difficulties faced by residents but also undermines trust in the council’s ability to provide essential In conclusion, the unprofessional conduct and lack of proper assistance from the housing officers are unacceptable. I urge the local council to address these issues promptly, ensuring that all residents are treated with the respect and support they deserve. Proper training and a review of current practices might be necessary to prevent such incidents in the future. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback, prompting improvements in the way housing officers interact with and support the community.

Disgraceful council! Not a toss given about residents in m32. Started new road works after 30 years of paying council tax this is all they have to show the area? Terrible. Causing congestion and blocking us from parking on our road because they want to add bicycle lanes? Probably 2 cyclists go down great stone road everyday. FIX UP. STOP ROBBING THE PEOPLE!

Just more than doubled my council tax bill with no notice. I’ve applied since for the single occupant discount again… I’ve been waiting for over a month and changing for a response but they still keep taking more than double. It’s a one bed apartment yet I’m currently paying more than my parents do for the two bed which the two of them occupy! Absolutely useless!!!
