Amazing day out, great views, caves are worth visiting. Parking is very easy and plenty of it. Beautiful walks along the top of the gorge, and it's nice to see the wild goats. There are loads to do and lots to see, and it is definitely a great full day out. It's definitely worth a visit. 100% recommended

Cheddar Gorge is a truly spectacular natural landmark – England’s deepest gorge, carved out over a million years ago during the last Ice Age. The towering limestone cliffs rise up to 450 feet (137 meters), offering jaw-dropping views whether you’re driving through or hiking above them. We climbed Jacob’s Ladder, which has 274 steps (yes, it’s a bit of a workout!) leading to a lookout tower with panoramic views. From there, we took the Cliff-Top Walk, which is around 3 miles (4.8 km) in total and loops across both sides of the gorge. The trail is well-marked and rewards you with stunning views of the Somerset countryside. The Gough’s Cave is also worth exploring – it's around 500,000 years old, filled with stalactites and stalagmites, and famously the place where Cheddar Man, Britain’s oldest complete human skeleton (over 9,000 years old), was found. All in all, a perfect day out for those into geology, history, or just fresh air and beautiful landscapes. Just bring good walking shoes, water, and a camera, you’ll use all three!

Great attraction. Took about 3.5 hrs to visit all things. £25 for an adult ticket. Goughs cave first. Well lit, informative, exciting. Museum next. Very informative for a small place. Cinematic experience was an interesting watch. Cox's cave was good but restricted to going round as a group. Jacob's ladder.. 274 steps. Fun on a hot day. Ha!

Absolute amazing place. Awesome in the caves and the general area. Good climb up Jacobs ladder to the views point which is well worth it. Going to return to do the walk along the gorge which is about 2.5hrs. That's all folks

Visiting Cheddar Gorge was a pleasure. Spent the last bank holiday Monday here with my partner and had a great time. The caves are absolutely beautiful and the audio guide talks you through the story and the different natural wonders of the caves really well. There is a package including 6 attractions like the caves and Jacob's ladder and it is so worth it and makes for an enjoyable day out. There is also the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company where you can try and buy the cheese, even one matured in the cave, and also enjoy the experience of seeing different processes of cheese making! Highly recommend.

Cheddar is a great place for a day trip! The cliff top walk is a must, be prepared for quite a difficult climb, the staircase is 274 steps and cliff fop trail is quite steep in places, the view is definitely worth the climb. Gough cave is well worth a visit. Lots to see and do, great choice of food and drink, lots of tea rooms.

Absolutely beautiful place and worth of visit. An audio guide is available in quite wide range of language. Lots of interesting information. Astonish place. One ticket enable to visit Gough's Cave (with an audio guide), Cox's Cave (might be queue but not long), watching movie Beyond the view, visit Museum of Prehistory, walk on Jacob's Ladder & Lookout Tower and cliff-top walk.

Great to visit the caves with friends. We were surprised to see light up inflatable dinosaurs in the caves!! Spoiled them in my opinion but know after chatting with a guide they are only there during the school holidays. We really enjoyed our visit and found it very informative. Tickets are for caves, museum, Jacob’s ladder and cliff top walk .
