Such a lovely shop with lots of local produce as well as caved aged cheddar cheese, in cheddar! Lots of flavours of cheese, lots of free samples of cheese and the cheese itself is delicious. Staff were very friendly here and you can even pay to see inside, and watch them make the cheese. Definitely worth going if you are in the charade area.

Bought some cheese straws from the company, came with hair ingrained. I emailed the company to advise them of this and ask for a refund. As I didn’t purchase directly from them I was advised I couldn’t be refunded - but no apology over the hair and their standards. Straws themselves very overly salty. Wouldn’t recommend.

What an incredible experience at the Cheddar Cheese Company! We were absolutely delighted by the selection and, more importantly, by the wonderful service we received from Gracie. She was an absolute star – so informative and friendly, answering all our questions with a genuine passion for the cheeses. It's truly refreshing to see a young person taking such pride in their job; Gracie's enthusiasm was infectious! Honestly, her excellent recommendations and delightful demeanor were the primary reason we ended up spending so much money in the shop that day. She's a true asset to your team!

A shop for tourists. I was expecting a traditional cheese shop with whole cheeses cut to your requirements. Instead, I found a sort of mini-supermarket selling plastic wrapped pre-cut slices at inflated prices. A couple of years ago I visited the village of Camembert in France. I toured the museum, saw the cheese being made and had a taste of different camembert cheeses. The cost per person (€6) was less than this shop wants for a sliver of sweaty looking cheddar.

Really recommended to get the tickets to visit the cheese making facilities. All the process is visible through the glass along with video explanations. Learning about manual Cheddar making process was very interesting. In the shop, you get to taste the various types of cheeses.
